1. Who We Are

Tarawud ("we", "us", "our") is a digital agency operating from Bani Suef, Egypt with a satellite presence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We're the data controller for personal information collected through this website and our products.

2. What We Collect

We collect three categories of information:

  • Information you give us — name, email, phone, company, and any details you submit through contact forms, project briefs, or newsletter sign-ups.
  • Information collected automatically — IP address, browser type, pages visited, time spent, and referrer. Standard server-log fields used for security, analytics, and bug tracking.
  • Cookies + similar tech — see §5 for details.

We never collect sensitive categories (health, religion, biometrics) unless you voluntarily provide them in a project context where they're necessary.

3. How We Use It

We use your data to:

  • Respond to enquiries and proposals
  • Deliver the services you've contracted us for
  • Send service updates, invoices, and (with consent) marketing emails
  • Improve our website and product experience
  • Comply with legal obligations

We don't sell your data. Ever. We don't share it with advertisers beyond the aggregated, anonymous events that ad-platform pixels themselves capture (see Cookies section).

4. Who We Share It With

We rely on a small set of carefully chosen processors:

  • Hosting + email: Vercel, AWS, Resend (EU/US data centres)
  • Analytics: Google Analytics 4, Plausible (privacy-first)
  • Payments: Paymob, Fawaterk, Stripe — payment data is processed by them, not stored by us
  • CRM: HubSpot for sales pipelines

All processors are bound by data-protection agreements (DPAs).

5. Cookies

We use:

  • Strictly necessary cookies — session, CSRF tokens, language preference. Cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics cookies — GA4, Plausible. Anonymised. You can opt out via the cookie banner.
  • Marketing pixels — Meta, TikTok, Google Ads, LinkedIn Insight. Loaded only after explicit consent.

6. Your Rights

Under Egyptian Law 151/2020 and Saudi PDPL, you have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete data we no longer need to keep
  • Object to processing for marketing
  • Port your data to another service in a machine-readable format

To exercise any of these, email info@tarawud.com with the subject "Data request". We respond within 30 days.

7. Retention

  • Project files + contracts: 7 years (tax/legal requirement)
  • Marketing leads: until you unsubscribe, then 90 days
  • Server logs: 90 days then deleted
  • Analytics data: 14 months in GA4

8. Security

We use industry-standard practices: encryption in transit (TLS 1.3), encryption at rest, role-based access, 2FA on admin accounts, quarterly security reviews, and an incident response plan. No system is 100% secure — but we work hard to keep yours close.

9. International Transfers

Some of our processors are based outside Egypt + KSA (mainly EU + US). All transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent safeguards.

10. Children

Our services are not directed at children under 16. We don't knowingly collect data from minors. If you're a parent and believe we have, contact us and we'll delete it.

11. Updates

We'll post changes on this page. For material changes (anything affecting how we use your data) we'll also email registered users.
